Proctor Silex K2070Y 1 Liter Electric Kettle
Fantastic for a college dorm room!, (What's this?) I'm a freshman in college and I purchased this kettle so that I may drink my tea. This kettle is perfect in terms of price and function.
One thing I will say about the kettle is that it the electric cord is a little loose, and sometimes must be moved around a little for the kettle to operate.
Aside from this one aspect, an overall great purchase.
Cheap product, (What's this?) Proctor Silex K2070. A very unsatisfactory product It ceased to function after 21 days of use.
Yes, odor & taste, I bought one of these a several years ago and the strong odor and taste have only gotten worse. The tea kettle is a workhorse and I've had no mechanical issues whatsoever, but I finally am realizing and doing something about the fact that I have been drinking whatever I am smelling! I recycled it last week and am sad to see it go.
For reliability and functionality, I would give it 5 stars, but for health issues, I'd give it one. I'm weighing health over the other and so will give it 2 stars.
Does the job, (What's this?) I use this kettle from time to time to make me a cup of hot tea =) and it works perfectly fine. Light weight<-may come in handy when I plan to move. It is also not as noisy as some kettles I have used b4. also really easy to clean.
All in all, it gets the job done and comes at an unbeatable price.
Don't waste your money, (What's this?) Don't waste your money on this electric kettle. Strong plastic taste and smell. The electrical cord 'shorted out' within the first week. The electrical cord is very short so you have to place your kettle next to an outlet unless you use an extension cord and unplug it to pour. Not practical for the work/office environment. I would not recommend this product. It did ship on time as promised.
Cord too short, (What's this?) The kettle functions properly as a kettle. However, the cord is amazingly short and does not reach from the outlet on the floor to my desktop immediately beside the outlet. It looks kind of silly on the floor of my office.
Perfect little electric kettle, (What's this?) I enjoy making tea and find this kettle to be the perfect size for 1 or 2 cups.
Excellent product, (What's this?) No complaints. Works perfectly. I use to make hot chocolate in night, tea etc.
Don't buy it! Worst taste ever!, (What's this?) So, I bought this kettle thinking it was small and cheap, and it would be convinient for my small room. Turns out the kettle is cheap and small, but it give the water a horrible plastic taste, that after many many boilings doesn't go out.
