Krups EA8250001 Espresseria Full Automatic Espresso Machine, Piano Black A welcome addition . . ., Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?) . . . to my kitchen!
I love coffee. I love espresso. Unfortunately, I am the only coffee drinker currently in my household. Thus, making a pot of coffee just for one person doesn't make sense.
Until this machine came along!
This Krups espresso and coffee machine makes an espresso or coffee literally in minutes -- and the quality of the beverage is outstanding. The machine set up literally in minutes and is easy to operate. In fact, it's pretty much idiot proof. Messages on the screen tell you when to add water, when to empty used grounds, when to clean the machine, etc. Just follow the on-screen directions. You can't go wrong.
My only complaint with this machine is a minor one. It's noisy.
Worth Every $, I used to have DeLonghi ESAM3300 Magnifica Super-Automatic Espresso/Coffee Machine my work. I've recently changed my job so no longer able to access automatic espresso machine. I did not realize how the DeLonghi ESAM3300 Magnifica Super-Automatic Espresso/Coffee Machine enriched my life, so I've decided to get this fancy machine. Krups EA8150001 is easy to use, very intuitive. It's smaller than DeLonghi ESAM3300 Magnifica Super-Automatic Espresso/Coffee Machine. I have tamping espresso machine that I use during weekend (no time to do it every day), but this machine makes equally good coffee as tamping espresso machine. Now even my husband can make a great espresso for me. Highly recommended.
Well worth the price!, I've been looking at many full auto machines but wanted to find one that was SMALL in size and didn't take up all my counter space! Sure, it seems expensive, but when I thought about the cost of buying a coffee machine $99, kettle $79, espresso $249, frother $79, grinder $59 ... and all the space each of those machines take up in my house + the time it takes me to grind, pour, froth, etc... this full auto was completely justified! I love it. It's so easy to use and takes me no time in the morning to press the button and go! I had a few issues understanding the directions but called the Krups Elite line for customer service and they helped me through everything. It's awesome. I highly recommend this product.
Easy to use, lowest cost of the super automatics, (What's this?) This is the best super automatic espresso machine out there - based on my own, super-nerdy formula: "(rich flavor * ease of use) / cost." Dorky, yes, but you're talking to someone who came up with decisionking.
Best Full Auto Espresso machine ever !, I love this machine ! I just bought it to replace my old Delonghi and even if I am quite a loyal person towards the brand I usually use, the design of the Krups Espressaria seduced me too much that I had to change my mind.
It goes perfectly with my kitchen (Ichose the black one even if the red one look so nice too and it is so compact ! I did not think that a Fully automatic could be that efficient, small and pretty at the same time!
Regarding the features, it is just amaizing ! It does everything it says : really nice espressos or ristrettos (European way !!), long coffees and I can even enjoy a good cappucino or latte on cold evenings. I also just make hot milks for creamy chocolates (much better than a hot milk in a microwave!) and hot teas.
all in one compact automatic espresso machine, (What's this?) This is my first espresso machine, I used it for about 2 weeks now and love it.
Pros:
1. Easy to use. Can adjust grind levels (3), coffee temperature (3), coffee amount (ml or oz), milk amount (seconds); do rinsing, cleaning cycles at your wish; remind you to change waste bin, add water, add bean; Record all usage statistics; Also, height adjustable coffee nozzle can accommodate cup height from 2.5 to 4 inches.
2. the cappuccino it makes comes with obvious hint of sweetness, although I did not put any sugar. I learned the sweetness is produced by the milk heating to 140 degrees.
3. relatively large water tank (1.8 liter) and bean holder (275 g) for the size of the machine. (I think the machine's dimension was listed wrong, the smallest dimension was 9 inches instead of 8).
4. included milk bottle easy to froth milk and refrigerate the remaining.
5. I am not sure about the use of oily beans, the manual says not recommended, but at the same time they included an oily bean accessory in the bean holder to help with the flow of oily bean. I used oily bean and the second time I used the machine, it does not make espresso, but making water instead. I stirred the bean a little and then it works.
6. 2 years of warrantee is longer than other models of similar price range.
Cons:
1. Too many plastic parts (body, coffee nozzles, parts of the frother etc)
2. Not sure about the durability of the machine, if it works only 2 years, then it is too expensive.
We take it on vacation!,
Best part of waking up!!!, It does EVERYTHING! Grinds the beans, makes drinks at my preferred temperature, steams milk and dispenses hot water for tea/hot chocolate, froths milk, tells me when it needs to be cleaned ... and the list goes on & on & on. Does coffee, espresso, lattes, etc. Plus, it's super compact! Even my nieces LOVE making me coffee because all they have to do it press the button and then the machine does everything. I compared it to Jura, Delonghi, etc. and this is by far the smallest machine on the market.
A SERIOUS espresso machine that shows a lot of attention to detail, Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?) Before I wrote this review, I asked my husband, "Is there anything you wish the Krups machine would do that it doesn't do?" He thought for a moment. "It could bring the coffee to me in my office," he replied. "That's about it."
I can't think of anything else, either.
Though I got this Krups Espresso machine for free through Amazon Vine, I'm in a unique situation: I've owned two of its competitors. We wore out a Solis unit that, alas, is no longer made. And we replaced it with a Saeco Encanto unit that is in the same price range. We like the Krups better than either of those machines. It is simply outstanding.
First, it makes very good coffee. At this price, it ought to.
However, we are somewhat coffee geeks. We roast our own coffee (which we buy online from a fair trade site), not because we know enough to get into "cupping" coffee but because we prefer a milder European roast. When we got the Krups unit, we started with the same batch of beans we had used the day before in the Saeco, and the coffee was distinctly smoother in the Krups. It tasted more like we'd had in Germany, though I've no idea what that means in coffee geek terms.
What makes this unit so wonderful is its user interface. (Did I just say that about a coffee maker?!) Dammit, Krups had a product designer who actually _used_ the thing. It really shows. This equipment is a pleasure to use. The menus make sense! Instead of me having to figure out what a blinking light means, the Krups displays "empty the coffee filter." If I run out of water mid-cup, it doesn't quit the process, as the Saeco does. Once I put in the water, it picks up where it left off. Well duh... except neither of the older machines did this.
It's also physically smaller and fits better in always-limited counter space. That counts, too, since the Saeco (which mind you I *like*) barely fits under my Mug Shelf Of Doom.
Krups Fully Auto... Worth the investment, Given the expensive pricing for fully automatics across the board, Krups' option is outstanding. From its size (fits on my countertop with ease, under the cabinets) to its sleek look, it is definitely well made. We are a high-volume coffee house. My husband drinks 2-3 cups per day & I have 2 lattes in the morning as well and both of our needs are satisfied and we are able to accomplish both preferences with one machine which is great, because the last thing we need is one more appliance on the counter....
One other note to mention is that sadly, we do not read instruction manuals except as a last resort. We were happy to say we had this out of the box and up and running in about 5 minutes flat and producing! Joking aside, when we did review the manual, it was to the point. Definitely an investment worth making considering our previous $8 buck a day habit at the coffee shop on the corner... seems like it is paying for itself.
