Capresso CM200 10-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker with Glass Carafe

Avoid - danger!, Do NOT buy this item. It is cheap Chinese manufacture and leaked like those of the other reviewers. In our case after about nine months of once a day use. It is not safe to mix water and electricity so it is imperative not to buy or use this item. Even though the manufacturer offered to repair or replace this item we read the other reviews and realized that this defect is characteristic and not an anomaly. We wouldn't want to use a replacement. Avoid like the plague. I'd give this item zero stars if it were possible.
Best Coffeemaker yet, (What's this?) I recently bought this coffeemaker after spending days researching and trying to find the perfect one. Ive went through 3 coffee pots in the past 2 years and did not want another failure. After getting this one and getting it setup it, I love it.

No more dripping water all over my counter when trying to pour water into a coffeemaker, the pull out water reservoir is wonderfully easy to fill and I also loved that it was clear. The last one i had was black and i kept thinking about what was in it that I couldnt see perhaps buildup or worse. The last one also had a small opening where this one is large enough for my hand to fit down in it so I can clean it.

I also love being able to brew a few cups at a time and because of the small brew button the coffee still tastes great.
Coffee pours out smoothly and without drips also.

One thing i really loved was the display, its so easy to read and the lights show up so well your not having to squint your eyes trying to see if the auto is actually turned on or if your half asleep you can still easily tell what time it is.

The coffee is very hot but doesnt seem burnt even after sitting on the burner for over an hour (my husband wakes up at least an hour before I do)
We usually make 10 cups every morning and I have yet to have one cup that tasted burned. Not only that but the coffee really tastes good, the filter works great.
Purchased 4 months ago, now unusable, (What's this?) I purchased this product about 4 months ago. I had previously owned a Capresso thermal carafe model which worked great for about 5 years - no complaints and it made great coffee. However, this model gave us a completely different and disappointing experience.

First, the washer that holds the drip stop assembly onto the filter holder fell off into the trash while throwing away the grounds and I could not find it. Second, the round filter that sits in the water tank also broke about the same time. I called Capresso customer support and they responded "Sure, we'll ship those parts out immediately!". After waiting for about a month, I ordered the two parts at my own expense and they promptly arrived. I installed them and had high hopes of everything working again. However, I found that about every other pot of coffee would end up on the counter and in drawers. Some of the time, the maker would steam and start running, but most of the water would never even leave the holding tank and I would end up with a highly concentrated "swill" in the coffeee pot.

Since I am outside of the return window, I now have to trash this unit and start over with a new purchase after only a few months of successful use.
Great Coffee Maker, (What's this?) Owning a previous thermal Capresso I was less than happy with the constant spilling the carafe would generate. This new Capresso, no spilling, better quality coffee stays much cleaner with the removable water tank.
Great coffee for 4 months then just a mess, This coffee maker made terrific, hot, coffee and was so easy to use with the removeable fill tank for about 4 months. It then started to slow down and leak a lttle, it got slower and slower, leaked more and more until unuseable. I purchased it for only 35.00 at a local dept. store, so didn't bother notifying the company to possibly receive a new one, I don't want another Capresso. Would NOT reccommend.
LEAKS, POOR QUALITY, (What's this?) Had this coffee maker for 13 months. The surface of the hot plate has worn away in places and it leaked some of the time, not all the time ... so you didn't know if you would find the counter flooded or a pot of coffee. After 3 floods we stopped using it and bought something different.
Buyer Beware, I bought this coffee maker against my better judgement (considering all of the negative reviews). I did this because it looked a lot different than all of the other ones out on the market and wanted something different. I disregarded some of the negative reviews which was a big mistake. I have used this machine a total of 5 times and it has already malfunctioned. I got the machine ready to brew 8 cups the night before so it would be ready in the morning. Well, woke up this morning and pushed the "on" button.
Stopped working after 7 months, Got this in January 2011 to replace a Cuisinart DCC-1200 that we bought in 2002. In July 2011, the Capresso started to leak all over the counter. The spring loaded gasket at the bottom of the water tank was clean and was not the problem -- the leak was coming from inside the base somewhere. Grrrrrrr. Very disappointing for this to break after only 7 months when my previous coffee maker lasted 9 years with no problems. I won't be considering any Capresso products in the future.
Capresso CM200, (What's this?) Attactive, easy to use and so far makes really good coffee. I have had Capresso prior for about 7 years and unfortunately broke the glass carafe. Ordered this coffeemaker as a replacement. Particularly like having a removable water dispenser .... easy to fill and also clean. Most do not have this feature.
Capresso CM200 Coffeemaker, (What's this?) I am definately a coffe snob and this Drip Coffe Maker is great. I especially like the disposable filter for the Water. You get 60 pots of coffee before it gives you a signal light that it needs to be replaced. The Digital Display is nice and bright and also large for easy viewing. So far, very reliable and the best part, not expensive at all. It has more features than any I considered in this price range.
