KitchenAid KCM534OB JavaStudio 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Onyx Black

KitchenAid KCM534OB JavaStudio 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Onyx Black
No fault found, (What's this?) After receiving my coffeepot I could not wait to use it. I love the design , the black and chrome color and the over all appearance of it. Made a pot first off and was upset because it was not drinkable. I then remembered I should have run a pot of vinegar water through it first. Thereafter my pot was wonderful. We have had much company over the holiday and coffee was continously made.. Love the pot and find no fault with it at all. My hat goes off to KitchenAid.. As alway my delivery was prompt and everything was great thanks to Amazon..
Worthless Coffee maker..failed just after a year of use!!, Stay away from this coffee maker at all cost. I purchased this maker last June and already the dreaded ERR2 message appeared on the display.

After further research on this product and error, I discovered that many other users experienced the same issue; all had the unit just over a year before it failed.

Makes me think if this is not deliberately done by the manufacture to get you to purchase a new model after a short period of time. Many sites have drastically reduced the price of this unit by 60%..wonder why!!

Disappointed with the product and I will urge all to stay clear of this one.
14 Cup Capacity? I think Not, I ordered this Kitchen Aid "14 cup" coffee maker because I make large pots of coffee at one time, to then keep in fridge, enjoying iced-coffee. My 12 cup Cusinart got clogged after years of good service, so I figured best to upgrade to a 14 cup. Things looked odd when my 14 cup Kitchen Aid arrived - sure didn't look bigger than the old 12 cup container. I fished my old Cuisinart 12 cup from garage, filled it to the 12 cup level with water, then poured entire contents into the new 14 cup Kitchen Aid...and the water filled completely to the top! Obviously, Kitchen Aid has a different interpretation of measuring, and the result is an absolute rip-off to the consumer. A fraudulent product from Kitchen Aid.
I love this coffee maker!, I received this coffee maker as a gift from my husband and daughter on Christmas Day, 2009 (almost two years ago). I've used it daily and still love it. The timer feature is great to get up and have coffee ready. The display of how long the coffee has been made and how long is left before it turns off is very useful. The tones are handy too since sometimes I get involved in other things and forget to look at the display. And KitchenAid really backs their products. I broke a piece on the lid to the pot - completely my fault. I didn't want to purchase the entire pot though so I sent an inquiry about buying only the lid. They sent it to me completely free of charge. Customer service like this seems very rare. I would purchase this same coffee maker again without question. And the red color is a beautiful deeper red - not that orange/red that I've seen on other brands.
Poor Parts Replacement, While this coffee maker worked, buying replacement parts and filters was another matter. The 14-cup measuring stem on the filter suddenly became a 10-cup replacement stem with the explanation that the stem could be transferred from one filter to another. What does one do when the prongs break off? The measuring stem was all that indicated how much water was in the reserve tank. Don't break your carafe because I did and was told that my coffee maker was "OLD" after just owning it for 1 1/2 years. The carafe replacement for this coffee maker was on a two-week backorder. Don't expect to find this model on their website because it doesn't exist. While the coffee maker worked, I found the customer service from Kitchen Aid and their website lacking. It would be better to buy a less expensive coffee maker and replace it every year or, if you do buy a coffee maker from Kitchen Aid, buy an extra carafe at the same time. You may not be able to purchase another down the road or be prepared to wait for the replacement.
Love this thing Its been 2 years now, We had a decent coffee pot before but it started to no perform well and I wanted something new and fun. We had to have a timer on it and it was nice to see how long the coffee had been sitting. As well as the automatic shut off. Not to mention I am partial to Kitchen Aid and their products. I was happy to see that it had a water filter in it. Our water is not the best in NC so it was nice that it tasted so much better. We have since moved to Italy and the water here can not be filtered so we use bottled water. But in the two years I have had it, I have not seen the clean light come on but once. But we also regularly clean the parts and run vinegar water through it. My parents like it too so they ended up getting one. And I love that it is digital. I have had no beefs w/ it. I read that some people mention water being all over, we have had that 3 times. Once b/c my husband was making it in the dark at 4 AM and the other two were b/c there was too much water put in the back and the pot was not pushed all the way in.
ONE YEAR POT, I liked the way this KitchenAid product looked and bought it even if it was expensive - $ 100. I thought it was worth the money since it was a KitchenAid product. The pot lasted just beyond the 12 month warranty period and failed - Err 2 meassage like many others I now learn. This coffee maker is defective and should have been recalled. I have two other KitchenAid products, but there will never be another one in my home.
No problems, We've had this coffee maker for 5 years and have had no problems. I love that you could get 14 cups of coffee.
not bad.., I like it! no problems so far. It does have a filter at the bottom of the water reservoir that I removed because I have filtered water on tap. Both lids open at the same time. You can fill the reservoir using the front lid. It makes nice hot coffee.
only coffee maker i want for the rest of my life, (What's this?) this is the best coffee maker I have ever used, easiest to program, fill, clean set and dosn't drip all over when pouring in the cup, the shut=off alarm is very handy, also.
