definitely worth it, (What's this?) I bought this for my boyfriend who drives truck and he loves it. he only puts water in it but it boils the water and he uses it for instant coffee, tea, oatmeal, and soups. wouldn't put anything other than water directly into the container due to cleaning but he uses it often. similar product on global trucker costs about 2x as much so this was a deal.

Not worth it. Takes forever., (What's this?) It took over 20 minutes to heat 12 ounces of water for a tiny little bodum of coffee. The lid doesn't close watertight, and it snaps on and off, rather than screwing down, so be careful when you pop that cap off a pot of boiling water. There has to be a better device than this one. I didn't find it before this last camping trip, but I will be searching diligently between now and the next one. I'm giving this hotpot two stars, because - eventually - I did get my cup of coffee. I can't give it more, because the thing takes too long, isn't safe, and would be hard to clean if I were going to ever use it again.
must have, (What's this?) We totally were blown away with this water pot. Didn't really expect much, and was so pleased to be wrong. We will never leave home without it on long trips! It takes a little bit (25 min's for the temp we like it at) of planning ahead, but well worth it! We do not drink water from states we visit, we carry our own, so coffee from a truck stop is not an option. This was perfect for 2 cups of coffee. A little awkward with the lid, pay attention.
Good while it worked, My husband is a truck driver and he likes to heat water for instant oatmeal for breakfast. I bought the Hot Pot for him and he thoroughly enjoyed it while it worked. It only lasted two weeks! We were both disappointed.

Works as advertised, (What's this?) I purchased this to use in an RV while boondocking. I have a solar system installed in my RV, and use a 12 volt system, so I needed something to boil water or to at least get water hot enough to make coffee. Well, this hot pot does the job! It definitely boils water with no problem. It takes a while if you have it to the full mark, but that's not a problem for me, as I'm just happy that it works and I don't have to use my propane stove and can now s ave money by using this 12 volt hot pot on power generated by the sun. Works perfect!
UPDATE: When it worked it worked great, but for some reason it stopped heating, but the light still works. I have since requested a replacement, and will return the defective one. I will update in a few months to let you guys know if the new one is still working.

Shot Pot, (What's this?) Purchased this for very long road trip.
First time used, it heated a pot of water after about 20 minutes, and blew my accessories outlet (cigarette lighter) fuse.
Had to take time to locate an automotive shop, and thankfully the young man there found and replaced the appropriate fuse.
I didn't chance it the rest of the trip.
Was gone too long to return it.
Destination: Landfill.
Difficult to clean (in case of milk), (What's this?) For water its gud, but for milk, it is not perfect. Reason: The heating element/coil is in the center of container, where we fill liquid, so it is difficult to wash/clean milk remains from there.
