Love Mr. Coffee, but......, (What's this?) This was like shooting craps. I noticed some of the reviews said they recieved red and others saiiad it was more pink/fushia. I rolled the dice and mine came in as more fushia. Too much trouble to send back and the coffee maker itself is good. Next time I really want a certain color will buy it where I can touch and feel. If color is really important thenMr. Coffee SKX26 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Red unless you are a gambler-steer clear of this.
Yep, it's Fuchsia, not red!, (What's this?) I read all the reviews here before ordering this coffeemaker knowing the color difference from what's described. Perhaps Amazon should change the color description in it's title for accuracy.
I actually like the color and find it quirky & different...so if you like fuchsia or lean more towards purple color preference than red...then this is for you.
It brews good coffee and I really like the green digital clock on the base. I haven't used the timer since I usually just brew my coffee when I feel like it rather than a set schedule.
Another nice feature is that the cord stays hidden inside the machine. You simply just pull out the length you need to reach the outlet and the rest stays nicely hidden. Handy!
I'm not really a fan of the 2 hour auto shut off (hence my 4 star rating instead of 5) and overlooked that feature in the item description before ordering so imagine my surprise when I went for a cup 2+ hours later to come to a cold coffeepot! I thought the darn thing broke until I checked the manual! So be aware of this before going in.
To offset that unsavory feature, I make sure to click the on/off button when the 2hr mark is coming to keep my pot hot longer.
Also, be sure to do a couple of initial runs of just water to go through the machine before brewing that first pot. Otherwise the first pot will have this "plastic-y" taste to the coffee....
Not what is advertised, (What's this?) This coffemaker is described as red. IT IS NOT RED! It is PINK. Also very cheaply made, lightweight thin plastic. Don't buy unless you want a pink, cheap coffeemaker.
Perfect Pot for Me, (What's this?) I love this coffee pot. It has everything I need in a coffee pot and is very attractive.

IT'S PERFECT FOR ME!, (What's this?) OTHERS HERE HAVE GIVEN THE PROS AND CONS OF THIS PRODUCT. I WAS LOOKING FOR A RED ONE THAT WOULD MATCH THE OTHER RED APPLIANCES AND ACCESSORIES IN MY KITCHEN, AND WAS THOROUGHLY CONFUSED BY ALL THE DIFFERENT STATEMENTS IN REVIEWS HERE REGARDING THE COLOR. I HELD MY BREATH AS I OPENED THE BOX, NOT QUITE KNOWING WHETHER I'D BE
SENDING IT BACK AS SOME HAVE. COLORS CAN VARY TREMENDOUSLY. BLUES CAN BE EVERYTHING FROM LIGHT BABY BLUE TO DARK NAVY BLUE, YET STILL BE "BLUE". THE SAME WITH "RED". ORANGE/RED IS DIFFERENT FROM BRIGHT "LIPSTICK" RED, AND BURGUNDY RED. IN MY OPINION THIS PRODUCT IS CORRECTLY LABELED AS A RED COFFEE MAKER, BECAUSE IT IS RED.
Great price and great coffee!, This coffee maker replaced two Cuisinart coffee makers that both broke in the warranty period. I am as happy, if not happier, with this coffee maker. The coffee is very good and it is easy to use. Coffee is plenty hot and plenty strong. I would recommend it to anyone. It is a very good value and seems to be of decent quality. Why pay more for appliances that simply cost more and are not any better? I am a born again appliance purchaser.

what's happened to Mr. Coffee, (What's this?) I bought this product on April 28th 2011 and today, 6 months later it has quit working. Buyer beware. One good thing...at least I did't spend a small fortune on it.
